TRAINING FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS

 

“AAC Assessment: Roadmap to Success"   

  •    August 5, Country Springs Hotel, Waukesha
  •    August 12, Holiday Inn Convention Center, Stevens Point.

This training focuses on the assessment of individuals with complex communication needs in view of the broad array of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. The agenda highlights the importance of evaluation and training to assist the AAC user in accessing their system, including issues such as seating and positioning, sensory input/output, and motor skills. The training will address successful transition from school to work and funding of devices. AAC Vendors will be on hand to answer questions and to demonstrate their products.

 

Continuing Education Units:

  •      ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) approved for .6 CEU’s
  •      Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) Continuing Education
